What is it and when is it used?

Surge protective devices (SPD/TVSS) protect equipment and panels against voltage transients: lightning, switching surges and electrical noise that degrade or destroy plant electronics.

We carry the complete Maxivolt line, handmade in Amarillo, Texas: GuardDog WRG with dual protection circuits, the original MV series, the ICP series for individual circuit protection and the custom-built medium-voltage WS series.

GuardDog WRG

The premium line: redundant primary and secondary protection with SenseTech dry contacts on both layers and optional audible alarm.

MV Series

120 to 600 V · 17 models

Maxivolt's original line: covers virtually every AC power system in the world.

ICP Series

Individual circuits · octal base

Protection for sensitive circuits with 8-pin base, alarm pin and communication options (ICP Plus, CRA and 420-RW).

WS Series

1,000 to 5,000 V

Medium voltage: every device is custom made for the operating voltage of the protected equipment.
